Elsevier Journal Cancellations
The Sandia Technical Library used to be under contract with Elsevier for a bundled package of journals.  After several months of study and negotiation, the Technical Library made the decision not to renew the Library’s subscription with Elsevier for a bundled package. The Library has returned to a title-by-title subscription model that includes the top 100 titles as determined by the number of article downloads by Technical Library customers. Library management cites an unsustainable pricing model, loss of control over collection management/selection decisions and financial impact as reasons for this decision. The cancelled titles were deactivated on January 1, 2007.

For more information about the Elsevier cancellations, please contact Donald Guy at dwguy@sandia.gov or (505) 284-2859.
