| The SNL/NM Technical Library Reports collection is stored
in Building 804, Room 100 vault. The collection consists
of Sandia suffixes (informal journal articles, conference
papers, and abstracts), Sandia formal reports, Central
Technical File (CTF), as well as externally-generated
formal Technical Reports (DOE, DOD, and other facilities).
Most of the unclassified external reports are on microfiche,
and are not included in the online catalog. The SNL/CA Technical Library Reports collection is located in Building 912, Room 149 and is open to users from 9-11 am Mondays through Thursdays. |

Catalog (both unclassified and classified) and

Library does not charge for Reports Services.
Recent unclassified (1990 to date) SAND
documents are available through the Online
Catalog. The digitized
SAND reports page provides additional information
regarding years of coverage for electronically available
SAND reports.
Material not owned by the Library can be obtained by request.
The Technical Library can request items from another Laboratory
or order documents through our Document
Delivery department at libdoc@sandia.gov. The
NM Library will require a project and task only for incurred
costs related to procuring the document (no charge for
document delivery labor). In California

| Library Reports User Privileges |
Internally originated material (Sandia reports and CTF)
can be reviewed in the Library or a copy can be supplied
to Library customers with proper Need-to-Know and Clearance
level. In NM you will need to contact Library Vault Personnel
at (505)
845-8187 to schedule an appointment (the Vault is currently
a closed facility and is not accepting walk-ins). In CA, contact Tiffany
Vargas at (925) 294-4598 or Karen
Cardwell at (925) 294-1029. Classified
formal Sandia reports (from approximately 1985 to present)
are available via Classified WFS for those included in
approved WFS access groups. Sandia unclassified unlimited
formal reports are available worldwide via the Library’s Online
Catalog. Currently Sandia unclassified limited
reports are only available by contacting the Technical
Library.
Library customers with proper Need-to-Know and Clearance
level may borrow externally-generated reports from the
Sandia Technical Library. Library material can be requested
by sending an email to librpts@sandia.gov.

| Externally Generated Reports Borrower
Responsibilities and Loan Practice |
| Externally generated reports can be loaned for an indefinite
period of time to Sandia borrowers; however, they remain
the property of the Library and can be recalled at any time.
If the current borrower still has a need for the recalled
document, arrangements can be made to order a copy for the
customer. Until returned to the Library, these external reports
remain the responsibility of the borrower. These responsibilities
include NO destroying, transferring or archiving of Library
materials. Borrowers are expected to return materials in
the same quality condition as when they were checked out. |
| Returning Externally Generated Reports |
Reports can be returned to the Technical Library via the
following:
• Inter-office mail. Address item to Reports Circulation
MS-0899
• Classified mail. Address item to CWS 0279, MS-0899.
• Hand-carry to building 804, room 100 vault. You will
need to schedule an appointment with Vault personnel by calling (505)
845-8187 in order to hand-carry return documents. |
